Max betting and Video Slots

April 28th, 2008

There are many different variations of online slots, but of particular note are video slots. This type has many different variations in itself. Unlike some other traditional online slots, video slots do not require you to play max bet unless a progressive jackpot is offered. Playing max lines might be a good idea, but a max bet is often not necessary, as you can often bet more than one coin in a line.

To illustrate this point, a 20-line slot with a bet of 10 coins per line usually has a max bet of 200 coins. Even playing with the penny coin sizes will result in $2 a spin. In most instances one coin per line is perfectly fine and you can play for as low as 20 per spin. A drawback to this however, is that your jackpots won’t be as high, because your wins are multiplied by your bet per line. An online slots game with a 10,000 coin jackpot and a max bet of 10 coins per line will then pay a 100,000 coins win at maximum bet. Playing with one coin per line will in turn only result in a 10,000 coin jackpot. That is the trade off between a low bet and a bigger win.

Basic slot tips

April 12th, 2008

Much like in a real casino, online slots is probably the least expensive and easiest gambling game to play on the Internet. If you characterize gambling as a game of chance then online slots is the epitome of that definition. There is absolutely no skill involved and no way to influence how the game turns out. You simply pull the lever and hope for the best!

There are some things to keep in mind however in order to increase your enjoyment of the game and to at least improve your chances of walking away with some money in the bank.

First of all, you should check out the odds of the game, whether they are video slots or free slots. If the game requires a higher value of coins, the odds are probably a bit higher.

Second, find out if the game is a three reel or a four reel one. You have more chances of winning a three reel game but a four reel game will probably pay off higher.

Finally keep an eye on your bankroll. You should decide how much you are willing to spend before you even begin playing the online slots and stick to it.

Online slots and issues about winning too often

April 8th, 2008

Many people have wondered if they can be banned from online slots simply for winning too often. If you think about it, it really wouldn’t be a good idea for online casino operators to do this. Most of them are savvy enough to know that they always have a better chance of winning than you do, whether you play video slots or free slots. In fact, the more you win, the more they will want you to keep playing so that they have a chance to make their money back. What they often do however is stop giving cash bonuses to players who win but always leave right after. If there are any problems with online casinos, the customer is usually able to resolve the situation quickly and the decision usually goes in their favor. After all many online casinos are pretty large enterprises and they would have to provide good customer service in order to keep operating. It wouldn’t really be beneficial for them to not have you come back! If you do have a problem related to online slots that is not resolved by the company to your satisfaction, then you may want to take it to a higher authority.

Some things you should know about playing online slots

March 6th, 2008

Playing online slots is not really that much different as playing the game in a real world casino. Of course being online, there will inevitably be some differences, but these have more to do with the technical aspects of the game rather than the game play itself. Online slots will usually require you to have some basic computer skills, but aside from that, they are virtually identical.

When these types of games first appeared on the Internet, there were very few online slots to choose from, and most of them were three reel games. Today however, there are more than 300 games online, among them: video slots, multi-line, free slots and bonus games.

You will mostly find that online slots payouts are comparable to or even better than those found in land-based casinos in places such as Las Vegas. The odds are usually greater in favor of the player too.

Sometimes you may notice that the reels keep spinning when you play online slots. This is because you have probably lost the connection to the online casino. Not to worry though: if this happens while you are playing, your balance will be the same when you come back to the game as when you were disconnected.

New online slots releases

February 23rd, 2008

It is early on in the year yet, but already numerous sites have released a bunch of exciting new online slots that guarantee hours and hours of fun for the rest of the year. This is only a small sampling of the online slots that are out there, but they’ll give you a hint of what’s in store for 2008.
New from Microgaming are 3 new video slots as well as a fun new fruit machine game. Called Treasure Ireland, the fruit machine game has a bonus game board that is tons of fun. The other video slots are just as amazing, with Polar Bash standing out as a clear favorite. While the other 2 games Mark of Medusa and Little Chief Big Cash are pretty good, Polar Bash is just that much more enjoyable to play.
Playtech has been a bit quiet on the slots front recently, but they appear to be catching up in a big way with the release of Bonus Bears and What’s Cooking. Both of these online slots are really quite fun to play and the graphics are excellent all around. Bonus Bears comes with an animated bonus round in 3D, while What’s Cooking gives you a chance to win a progressive jackpot.
